Kozo VI · Handmade washi wallpaper
Asagiri
In the mountain-ringed home of Inshu washi, a dreamlike morning mist often settles over the land, changing its face as the sun climbs. Two artisans move their brushes across the sheet at the same moment to draw its gradations of light and dark, giving a room the feel of clear, clean air.

Samples and delivery

In Japan, cut samples normally arrive within three to four days. Delivery to Canada takes longer, and we will confirm the timing when we reply.
Samples are free. You can also borrow a sample book for ten days, and cover the shipping one way.
Pricing and enquiries
Many of our wallcoverings are made to order, and custom colours are possible for some designs. For pricing, lead times or a project, please write or call. Our team in Tokyo or Canada will reply by email, usually within two working days.

Cut in winter, grown again by spring.
A mature kozo plant stands over three metres tall. It is harvested each year in early winter, once its leaves have fallen, and grows back the following year.
Kozo is made in Inshu, in Tottori, where that history is still kept in the local archives.
In 2025 Kozo VI won the Grand Prix at JCD Product of the Year.
