Kozo VI · Handmade washi wallpaper

Kasumi霞

The haze of early spring wraps distant scenery softly and makes it dreamlike. Master hands render those soft boundaries with the brush, and colours layered in complex ways give the room the same ethereal air.

Cut in winter, grown again by spring.

A mature kozo plant stands over three metres tall. It is harvested each year in early winter, once its leaves have fallen, and grows back the following year.

Kozo is made in Inshu, in Tottori, where that history is still kept in the local archives.

In 2025 Kozo VI won the Grand Prix at JCD Product of the Year.
